FCAA operates the only emergency shelter for homeless families in Fairfield County. The shelter is designed for four families and is equipped with private kitchen, bath and laundry facilities for each family. The LFCAA Emergency Homeless Family Shelter is located on the agency campus.

Other homeless prevention assistance can provide rent, deposit, utilities and mortgage payments for people facing eviction or foreclosure and possible homelessness. Funds are limited and may not be available year-round. Individuals and families seeking this assistance must provide documentation of all gross income received during the preceding 13 weeks, an eviction or foreclosure notice, Social Security numbers for all household members.
